Joe Burrow: From Heisman Winner to NFL Star

Early Life and College Career

Joe Burrow was born on December 10, 1996, in Ames, Iowa. He attended Ohio State University for one year before transferring to Louisiana State University (LSU) in 2018. At LSU, Burrow became one of the most decorated players in college football history. He won the Heisman Trophy in 2019, becoming the second LSU quarterback to do so.

NFL Career

After his dominant college career, Burrow was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals as the first overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, he led the Bengals to a 4-11-1 record. However, in 2021, he guided the team to a division title and their first Super Bowl appearance since 1988. Burrow was named Comeback Player of the Year and finished second in MVP voting.

In three NFL seasons, Burrow has thrown for 13,224 yards and 95 touchdowns. He has also rushed for 1,187 yards and 15 touchdowns. He is considered one of the most promising young quarterbacks in the NFL.
